Voices May Be Silent But Their Hearts Are Heard

Hope Begins with a Single Act of Kindness

Introduction

In every society, there are people who cannot speak for themselves—mentally challenged, homeless, and abandoned individuals who are often overlooked. At Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, we believe that even in silence, there is a voice, and behind every quiet gaze, there is a heart longing to be heard. This Ashram exists to recognize and respond to that silent cry for help.

Understanding the Lives We Serve

Many of the people we care for suffer from severe mental and physical disabilities. Some were found abandoned at railway stations, hospitals, or roadside corners. They may not have families, homes, or even the ability to express their needs—but they all share one thing in common: the need for love, care, and safety.

At Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, we treat them not as cases or statistics, but as humans with emotions and value. Their silence does not make them invisible.

Our Approach to Care

We provide round-the-clock shelter, food, and medical attention to hundreds of mentally challenged and homeless individuals. Every day, our dedicated team ensures that:

  • Over 600 fresh, nutritious meals are served

  • Residents are bathed and clothed with dignity

  • Medicines and personal care are administered regularly

  • Emotional well-being is prioritized through interaction and compassion

Even if someone cannot speak or respond, our volunteers and caretakers treat them with respect and warmth, because healing is not only about health—it’s also about human connection.

A Temple That Serves the Living

The Sri Punya Lingeswara Swamy Temple, currently under construction within the Ashram premises, stands as a symbol of hope and divinity. Unlike many temples built in memory of gods, this temple is built for serving living souls.

Every donation to the temple directly supports the Ashram’s activities—feeding the needy, treating the sick, and building a better future for the voiceless.

You Can Make a Difference

The work at Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam is made possible through community support. You can help in multiple ways:

  • Sponsor a meal or a month of care for one resident

  • Donate towards medicines, bedding, or hygiene needs

  • Volunteer your time and compassion at the Ashram

  • Support the temple project to sustain the Ashram’s long-term needs

Whether big or small, your contribution gives a silent soul the chance to live with dignity.

Conclusion

At Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, we don’t need words to hear someone’s pain. We listen with our hearts, respond with compassion, and serve with purpose. Because even when voices are silent, hearts can be heard—if someone is willing to listen.
