How the Kitchen of Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam Cooks Compassion Every Single Day

Serving Love Through Every Single Meal

Introduction

In a quiet corner of Choutuppal, Telangana, there’s a kitchen that never truly sleeps a kitchen that doesn’t just serve food, but serves humanity. At Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, feeding people is not just a daily routine, it is a sacred act of compassion. Every morning, fire is lit not just under vessels, but under a mission that fuels 1800 lives with love, dignity, and warmth.

This kitchen has not stopped serving a single meal since 2010. It satisfies the hunger of thousands of people three times a day — without break, without hesitation, without expectation. Because for us, no one should ever be left hungry.

This blog takes you inside the heart of our ashramam’s kitchen — where every grain is washed with care, every vegetable is chosen with intention, and every meal is prepared not just to satisfy hunger, but to heal pain.

We Begin With Cleanliness and Care

At Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, the day starts with dedication. When my kitchen employees step into the kitchen, the first task is ensuring hygiene and purity. Every vegetable is washed carefully, examined once or twice, not just for cleanliness, but to make sure only the freshest and best go into the pots.

Because the people we serve  mentally challenged orphans, abandoned elders, and the homeless, deserve safe, healthy, and high-quality food. We do not treat them as charity cases. We treat them as family.

Our Cooking Is Done With Love and Responsibility

The masters who cook in our kitchen aren’t just doing a job — they are carrying a responsibility. They cook with attention, affection, and devotion. No shortcuts, no negligence — just the deep understanding that every meal is a lifeline for someone.

We don’t believe in mass production. We believe in mass compassion. That’s what makes our kitchen different — it’s not run by fire and spices alone, but bylove and car love and care.

We Feed 600 and Still Have Food for the Unexpected

One of the most emotional parts of our kitchen’s journey is this —
Even after feeding 600 orphans, there is still food left.

Not because we overcook — but because we prepare with hope. Hope that if someone new walks in, they will not go hungry. Whether it’s a wandering person from the roadside, or a helpless soul brought in by a stranger —
Our kitchen is ready. Always.

We believe hunger shouldn’t wait, and compassion should never run out. That’s why our stove stays lit, even when the vessels are empty — ready to serve one more plate at any moment.

It’s Not Just a Kitchen — It’s a Place of Healing

Our kitchen does more than feed people. It heals their pain, restores their dignity, and gives them hope. For many of the mentally challenged orphans and destitute who come to Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, this is their first experience of being cared for.

Some haven’t eaten a proper meal in days. Some have been rejected and left on the roads.
But the moment they receive that warm plate of food, everything begins to change.

We Spend ₹40000 Daily With Trust in Humanity

Every day, we spend nearly ₹40000 to run the kitchen. We don’t have big corporate sponsors or celebrity endorsements.
What we have is trust in God, trust in our temple, and trust in kind-hearted people like you.

We believe that as long as our intention is pure, help will come. And till then, we continue — one meal, one life, one day at a time.
