Take a Step to Honour
Every year, Father’s Day is celebrated across the world to honor and recognize the sacrifices, love, and influence of fathers and father figures. Observed on the third Sunday of June, it’s not just a day to give gifts — it’s a time to reflect on what fatherhood truly means: protection, strength, responsibility, and quiet support.
Fathers are often the silent warriors of the family — working behind the scenes, providing without expecting thanks, and standing tall as the backbone of many households. Their guidance shapes lives, and their love, even if unspoken, builds unshakable foundations.
The Harsh Truth: Not Everyone Has a Father to Celebrate
While many celebrate Father’s Day by sharing stories, memories, and time with their dads, there are thousands who don’t have that privilege — especially the mentally challenged, abandoned, and homeless individuals cared for at Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam.
Many of them were found on the streets — orphaned, forgotten, or left without a known identity. They may not even know what a father's hug feels like. But here in the Ashram, they are given a second chance at life, dignity, and care.

At our Ashram, we don’t just offer food or shelter — we offer protection, guidance, and unconditional love. In essence, we become the father figure to every soul who walks through our gates.
When we serve food daily to over 600 residents, we act as providers.
When we offer shelter, medicine, and mental care, we act as protectors.
When we listen to their silent cries and bring smiles to their faces, we act as emotional pillars — just like a father does.
Fatherhood is not defined by blood; it’s defined by responsibility, love, and sacrifice — values that are deeply rooted in everything we do at Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam.
This Father’s Day, we invite you to embrace the true spirit of fatherhood by extending your hand to someone who needs it most.
🙏 Sponsor a meal in honor of your father.
🙏 Make a donation in memory of a father figure you admire.
🙏 Volunteer your time to be the strength someone else needs.
Your simple act can make you a father to someone who has no one. In your support, they will find hope. In your care, they will find home.
As we celebrate Father’s Day, let’s not forget the essence of what it truly means. It’s not just about cards or celebrations — it’s about being there, protecting, and guiding those who need us most.
At Amma Nanna Anada Ashramam, we are not just a shelter. We are the silent strength behind every soul — just like a father.
