Silent hours filled with unseen care
When the sun sets and the world slows down, most people find rest. Streets empty, homes light up with warmth, and silence fills the air. But here at Amma Nanna Foundation, the night is not quiet. It never is.
Because our nights are filled with cries, confusion, wandering, pain and care.
The Hidden Side of Ashram Life
While many think the hardest work ends after sunset, our real work often begins. The individuals we care for abandoned, mentally challenged, and voiceless don’t follow a routine clock. Their pain, fears, and episodes of trauma do not stop at night.
Every night, our caretakers move quietly but tirelessly soothing, feeding, dressing wounds, changing beds, and simply being there for someone who doesn’t know how to ask for help.
Night Care is Not Just a Shift It’s a Lifeline
A woman rescued from the roadside may panic after dark, fearing the noises she once heard in the streets.
An old man, mentally unstable and blind, may wake up and yell, not knowing where he is.
One of our caretakers will sit beside them, whispering comfort, holding their hands, waiting for calm to return.
This is not shown on posters.
This is not spoken in speeches.
This is the silent love that holds this ashram together.

Who Stays Awake While the World Sleeps
We have night watch teams staff who stay up through the night, checking every bed, walking the corridors, watching the gates, and ensuring safety.
Their job is to:
These unsung heroes don’t wear uniforms or name tags. Their reward is a quiet smile, a settled resident, a night without chaos.
Why We Never Sleep Peacefully But Always with Purpose
Our nights are never silent… but they are sacred.
They are filled with acts of pure love. Of patience. Of humanity in its rawest form.
When you support Amma Nanna Foundation whether by donation, volunteering, or even sharing our story you become part of this sacred night.
You become the reason someone didn’t suffer alone in the dark.
Help Us Keep the Lights On Through the Night
Because even when the world sleeps, we stay awake for them.
