We See Them, We Rescue Them, We Heal Them
Every day, thousands walk past them without a second glance. Lying on sidewalks, huddled near garbage bins, or sitting silently in corners of railway stations these are lives that have been forgotten by the world. But at Amma Nanna Ananda Ashramam, we choose to stop, look, and act.
Our mission goes beyond providing food and shelter. It begins with seeing the unseen. We identify abandoned individuals who have been left behind by families, society, and the system. Many of them suffer from mental illness, physical disabilities, or simply deep emotional trauma. They are not just homeless they are lost, confused, and completely alone.
Our team conducts regular outreach in and around Hyderabad and neighboring towns. We focus on:
We observe their behavior, condition, and situation before approaching. Many are non-verbal, injured, or frightened. Some have been lying in the same place for weeks. We take time to approach them gently and with compassion.
Once we identify someone in need, our priority is immediate relief:
After arriving, they receive a full medical check-up, mental health evaluation, and most importantly unconditional love. Some smile for the first time in weeks. Others sleep peacefully without fear for the first time in years.
What follows is a gradual transformation. Slowly, the fear fades. Names are remembered. Smiles return. They start eating regularly. They join group prayers. Some help in the kitchen. Others begin walking, talking, or simply sitting with others no longer alone.
Each rescue is not just a life saved, but a soul restored.
Every pair of caring eyes can make a difference. If you see someone on the street who may be abandoned and in need, don’t ignore them. Reach out to us. Share their location. Support our mission.
Together, we can bring hope to those the world has forgotten.
